Can slide styles be edited ?

The ready made slide styles are a great way to create interesting effects in your shows, but sometimes you wish they'd use your pictures a bit differently. Perhaps use more pictures? or perhaps use less pictures? or perhaps get rid of the ending part? or perhaps get rid of the opening part?

Since styles are just regular slides, of course it is possible to alter them with your own additions. In the following pages, I will show you how to customize some of the built-in styles, as well as some of the styles that are sold by Photodex in their StylePacks.

Some styles are easier to change than others. The more complex styles require a very good command of the program and its features, eg: multiple layers, keyframes, masks, etc.

Just remember that if you make changes in a slide style, you can always create a new style from it, and reuse it in all your future shows.

Slide Options > Slide Styles > Create (right side of the screen).
Or
The FX icon (manage effects) > Create

By default, your slide styles will be created in the category "My Own Slide Styles".
You can of course apply any other category while creating your new style, and you can enter any description that you want.
You can also change this description later, by going to
Tools > Manage Effects > Styles > Edit
OR
Right from the Styles List menu

The number of layers in a given style, and the aspect ratio, are features that are automatically generated by Producer when you create a style. If you add a layer to an existing style, Producer will take it into account when you create that style.

If you create a style while working on a widescreen show, Producer will create it as a 16x9 style.
If you create the style while working on a 4x3 show, Producer will create it as a 4x3 style.

If you are sure that a style can work correctly with both show aspect ratios, you can mark this in your style too.
